Was anyone else upset that the groundhog saw his shadow yesterday? I don't know about you but I'm ready for it to be spring! This week we braved the cold and went outside on a discovery walk. Don't worry-everyone bundled up and stayed warm! Our students read the book "I Went Walking" by Sue Williams so we decided to work on our own observation skills by noticing all of the things we see outside of Curry Elementary.

Beth and Jose saw a bee, Nathan saw a cardinal in a tree, and Kenzie noticed 12 cars drive by! When we got back inside and warmed up we all wrote about what we saw and drew a picture to go with it. I've sent everyone's incredible illustrations and writing home in their folders today! Great work, kindergarteners! :)
Our Star Student next week will be...
Naomi!
